GP-1 15W-40 Synthetic Blend High Performance Oil
19406
Perfect for performance street vehicles, classic cars, vintage imports, competition/race engines and Drag Racing applications requiring a 15W-40 viscosity. GP-1 is compatible with Methanol, E85, and high octane race fuel. Blended with genuine Pennsylvania Grade base oil, GP-1 achieves a higher Pressure-Viscosity Coefficient for excellent HTHS film thickness for enhanced wear protection. GP-1 delivers maximum engine protection by utilizing our High Zinc (ZDDP) additive technology. Designed for all high performance builds, ideally street-track performance vehicles with either flat tappet, roller, or overhead cam engines. Viscosity typical of 15W-40.
Typical ZDDP Level of 1200 PPM ensures Flat Tappet Cam wear protection. Do not use additional ZDDP additive top treatments!
DRIVEN GP-1 Racing Oil is formulated for High Performance Engines/Racing applications only. This engine oil will NOT MEET any current API or OEM Engine Oil Specifications. Contains increased performance additive levels.

I don't know jack about oil other than that if your car ain't got none, you ain't gettin' very far. BUT, I do trust the opinion of folks who build racing engines for a living, and the good people at Prestige Motorsports who built my 535hp Windsor-based 427 tell me that I'd be a fool to use anything else but Driven GP-1 (15W-40) in my powerplant. So, I bought some. And when the time comes, I'll buy more. I know I'm using a trusted product and helping drive revenue for a US-based small business. (Buy DIRECT!) Plus, they sent me some really cool decals and a T-shirt. Win-win!

I’ve been running this oil in my Gromm Racing built LS based 414 Stroker for over a year now. The motor lives in an Ultra 4 Race car and gets abused non stop. I only trust Driven Racing Oil GP1 15w-40 to keep this motor alive in the toughest terrain and abuse possible. We are not easy on our machines in my sport. I always preach to others: Race Engines require Race Oils. And Driven GP1 is that!

Driven GP1 oils are the only oil I use in my turbocharged LS motor. This setup sees 8k+ rpm in the track and miles on the street without question. Driven offers the best oils out there and great customer service to match!

I have been using GP1 15-40 for a little over a year now and it's been amazing. I autocross and road race with the OPTIMA series and do not run an oil cooler on my Nitrous injected LS3. I tore the engine down after the end of the 2022 season as it had been overheated a handful of times during the season and the bearings looked like the day I put them in. Just goes to show a quality oil will give you the protection you need!

When i built this engine i wanted a good Quality Oil and perfect Break in done.. i was looking and looking and there is so many, but with Flat tappet you need that High Zinc... Everyone kept telling me to go with Valvoline Vr-1, Royal Purple, Brad Penn, i was even recommended Pennzoil One day i was at Summit racing and i seen This Driven OIL on the shelf... i also seen yall had a break in oil.. i went home and researched and checked numerous reviews and asked Friends and colleagues. I decided on Joe Gibbs Driven oil.. I chose GP-1 10W40 for my oil.. I first used yalls Break in oil.... during break in one of the water ports on the intake leaked and got some water in the oil, but i said screw it i m here lets run it and see what happens... I was sure it was going to flatten my cam... i drained the oil after break in and put in fresh Wix filter and 5 quarts of GP-1 and you know what i have been running it for almost a 1000 miles with absolutely NO ISSUES... I'm sold that this Driven is a fantastic oil... I actually feel Driven Break in oil saved my cam when the water got into the oil during break in... i recommend it to everyone... I'm coming up on my first oil change and it will be more Driven oil...…
